The Surprise Historical Society is very pleased to announce that we have selected a logo that was submitted during the Logo Contest that took place in November 2009.   To give you a little background, the logo criteria was sent to schools within the Dysart School District - 7th grade through 12th and we asked for students to submit logos using the criteria setforth that would best represent the Surprise Historical Society.    We received 27 drawings and the decision was a difficult one since there were so many wonderful pieces to choose from.

The Surprise Historical Society Executive Board met on December 11, 2009 and made the decision to select the logo submitted from Dysart High School Student, Maria Gutierrez.    And here it is.........
